Tutoring is meant to be a supplemental school. Tutoring is additional academic or skills development support. The purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner.
A typical session is approximately 1 hour and may include:
Homework Help * One-to-One Instruction * Individualized Instruction * Advanced Placement Math Preparation * SAT & ACT Math Preparation
Payment is made on a monthly basis in advance of the first of the month via automatic payment plan with Stripe. All sessions are paid in advance. Should your invoice become overdue, a late fee may be assessed. Thanks.
Policy: There is no guarantee of student success of grades or scores as grades and scores are dependent on many factors outside of our sessions.
Late Policy: I will wait 15 minutes for a student to log in for a tutoring session. After 15 minutes, the session will be deemed an absence. Payment is due in full for the session as your registration has guaranteed your student a scheduled session and denied another student the opportunity for that tutoring session. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Cancelation Policy: You may cancel your tutoring session up to 48 hours before the scheduled session and may have the opportunity to reschedule. If, however, you cancel within 48 hours of the session, payment is due in full. While I am lenient up to 3 times, because I realize things happen, I always put the responsibility of rescheduling in the parent's hand. There are provisions for this on the website or contact me and I will be glad to help. You will have 30 days to make up your session. Refunds will not be given in any case as your registration has guaranteed your student a scheduled session and denied another student the opportunity for that tutoring session. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Excessive rescheduling: Cancellation of service will occur if there are excessive reschedulings. This will be at my discretion. We can only work together effectively if your student attends their booked sessions. Excessive rescheduling and absences impedes continuity and progress and keeps other students from being able to have the session slots they desire.
Policy: Students under the age of 18 years old are required to have an adult present during tutoring sessions.
